Temporary wallpaper was something I haven’t really heard of, but the concept greatly interested me and so I walked in. It was my first visit ever to High Point Market. The owners greeted me with a smile, explained their products to me and I was in love! I personally love wallpaper. It adds texture, interest and character to a space. The fact that this wallpaper is so easy apply and remove had me sold!
My clients purchased a vacation home in Orlando FL. It is a home that they can use themselves and rent out to vacationing families. One of their must-haves was the inclusion of themed rooms for children. They had specific themes that they wanted me to use, including a Mickey Mouse bedroom and a Superhero’s media room. I immediately thought of Tempaper to add a unique touch to these rooms! But there was an issue, would I be able to use Tempaper on textured wall surfaces, which are common in Florida homes? The texture of the walls was like an orange peel. I tried a large sample on a wall and sure enough, Tempaper adhered to the wall with no problems at all!
The Mickey mouse was a fun room to design. I wanted to add a fun and unique feature wall, so I created a color block wall with red on top, Tempaper’s Falling Stars wallpaper in the middle, and black on the bottom. For the focal point of the room, I came up with an idea to have Mickey’s head as the headboard. Tempaper’s Falling Stars borders added a magical touch! I designed the bedding as classical “Mickey Mouse’s outfit.“
For the superhero media room, I used Tempaper’s textured Brick Ebony wallpaper throughout to give a cityscape feel. This completely transformed the entire look and feel of the room. 3D superhero wall art that “pop” from the brick. Once plain walls are now full of texture and character! And a fun mural ties the room together!
